Cranberry Raw

by Daine on Sep.21, 2005, under Life

Stephanie bated me with the funny Santa pictures the other day. Now I am listening to Harry Connick Jr. Not the Christmas Album but still I am thinking about it and missing my mom and the lengths she goes to to make the month of December the best month of the year. She does it too every year of my life December has been the best. Ok now I am just home sick for Neosho. I want apple pie and cheddar cheese and sweet tea and hot cider (and how much fun it would be to spike it) Cranberry Raw, and leftover turkey that you think is making you sleepy but it is really the lack of sleep from staying up with your sister catching up on life. I can’t wait for Christmas. Soon I am going to count it down.

Ah Christmas. I love it. We already bought our tickets to go home. We’re flying on Christmas day again, but at least the tickets were cheap. I love the picture you you as a little squirt. Did you get Golden Grahams for a present? My Grandma Kraft would always give me marshmallow cream for a Christmas present. I used to just eat the stuff with a spoon. Ugh. So your family has cranberry raw too? That’s awesome. I’ll bet it is the same recipe as what we make. I even make it now for Thanksgiving even though I don’t really like it *that* much. It just has to be part of the holiday meal, you know? I wrote a blog entry about it once.

I’m already trying to think of a good Christmas card to send out. Last year I made one with a picture of us in front of our tree that fell over. In our family, the tree falls over more often that not and then our first Christmas as a married couple…of course, the tree fell over. My family got a big kick out of it.

Mmmmmmm.. I don’t even like the holidays very much, but you just made me really excited :o )

*looking at the pic* Golden Grahams, huh.. I would’ve had a cheeky little smile too! Mmm :o )

At that age, cool cereal is a BIG DEAL. We would practically kill each other over Lucky Charms, but those rarely made it into our household. My mom was a bit of a healthfood-co-op-carabchip-granola-earthmother back then.
