tonight we had a valentines day deal. it was a church function and the men were supposed to do a dessert and we were going to vote on the winner. I made this cake from Southern Living and it took home the big money. 
My prizes were a fondue set and some turkeu carving utensils. two things that werent on my list of “rush out and buy” but definatley things i might find a good use for! At least i can say “or i could make a Fondue.”
I’d like to thank my mom and my wife for suppoeting me and for all of those who ate the cake and liked it. Southern Living for the free recipe from your website. the two little chef girls who did the judging, and for the othe competitos involved for thier good sportsmanship. in honor of the Grammies that i somehow missed seeing.

So what was the recipe? I can’t tell what kind of cake it is by looking at the pic.
