every life stage seems to have a soundtrack for me. Typically the lead track comes from the music of the day.
Saturday we washed cars and hung out trying to squeeze as much life and enjoyment into every second. The song playing in my head, Zach had just played for me and now i cant get this track to leave. So it is the official sound track of this second of life. the chording fits perfect and it has this predictable piano embellishment and a chord arrangement that would make and synthesizer maestro wish his Yamaha DX-7 would make those sounds. The chord Progression gives me a feeling of sorrow and then hope and you don’t even need the lyrics. Thank you Catholic church for assigning feelings to certain keys, before Debussy’s Harmonic Language!
So with one of my close “friend sets” moving off into the sunset, listen to this song and see if you can feel anything. it might help to have a cinnamon cigar at the same time!
