El Azteca

So Adriana and I went to a very Brown Place to eat today. I was going to take my “Brownie” with me but we had a mis-communication. I thought she didn’t want to go but she did but by the time I figured that out it was too late.
Long story short when you pull up Google maps on my PC at work and enter Austin TX. It auto zooms in on El Azteca. It is Aztexican food. Not great by any means but a real honest to God hole in the wall.
I snapped pictures of some of the “Aztec” art on their walls. Enjoy.
Ok this Chick passed out in the hard body’s arms is a theme here obviously.
Such Drama.
and more drama Xena the warrior princess style.
and it is obviously just drama.
Check this Chick out she is like “Help Help, oh thank God your here to help me. OK so how does my side profile look?”
Iced tea w/lime, and Chips and salsa. It doesn’t get much more Aztexican than that folks.
and because the health dept. would surely close an operation such as this if it were on the west side of I35 we were indeed deep on the east side where we saw a lavender Toyota Avalon. Adriana mused about that possibly being a factory color.
good brown lunch. wish you were all here!

Their bean and cheese nachos are remarkable. Their cheese must be drugged. Mmm.

One thing that is really good at El Azteca is their chipotle sauce (on chicken enchiladas). They really know how to make good chipotle sauce. Also, serving sherbet/cookie after the meal is an unexpected tradition there (or used to be at least).
I think the Aztecs used to sacrifice women as part of their religious ceremonies, and that is what some of this art is depicting/celebrating.
