pizza

It was a beautiful weekend here in Austin. SXSW was the big deal this week, so you had loads of extra people in town from all over the place. I hope no one got a bad taste in their mouths for us. Really it is hard to keep that from happening at some point. There will always be someone who has a little too much fun at some point, Guaranteed.
There was a big Spoon Show across from my building that I should have thought about. img_0021.jpgPeople who went said it was great. I saw them building the stage and that was as far as I got with it. I always pass up events at Auditorium shores. Remember last years rally with Obama? I watched from my tower across the river. When will I learn?
I did not take in any shows really either. That’s a bit of a change for me. Zach and I went to Home slice pizza for one of their free shows. We meant to see Joseph Arthur, but when we got there, playing was another band that what I heard of them I actually enjoyed more. For the actual set we came to see the crowd sort of cleared a bit, I assume for better shows in other locations. So we actually got to sit and relax a bit. Yeah, Relax, I knew I was a bad idea! we both fell asleep. Good Show Huh? It was just the singer on stage with his guitar in hand, and a chick playing on some tracks with an electric. Not a very rousing rock show either. I felt old and exhausted. We left early and ordered and got a free pizza due to a mix up. All in all it was nice to be out of the house. Saturday was absolutely beautiful. I didn’t care how sickly I was feeling, I needed to see the sunshine. Earlier that day we went to the park and played with the babies and had a McDonald’s cheeseburgers in all of their horrible goodness. Good day!
Then Sunday was good too. We washed the cars and had more pizza watching family guy getting tips on how to be a great dad. Hope yours was good too.

v-d

Well so far my valentines day has been one of the sweetest days I have had in a long while. I surprised Karina by hiding flowers and a card in her office last night that is how busy and hard she works. She did not even know until I called her ad started her on a scavenger hunt for her gifts this morning. She took me to my favorite pizza haunt for lunch. We had a big salad and a pizza, and she is just so pretty today. img_0415.jpg

We could not find a empty table at the steak place where she wants to go to tonight so we are there tomorrow night and tonight we will hang with our friends that also could not get into the place they wanted to. So I think I’ll get pizza again tonight. Pizza to me is like Sex. When it is bad it is still pretty good and when it is good then it is REALLY good! And twice a day, is well I don’t care where you get it that is just a gift from God. Breakfast noon and supper then you have killed it and you are liable to get struck by lightening. It is just sacrilegious, and far be it from me to sacrilegious!
So I have this green shirt that I want. It is from the defend Oahu coalition. So if any one is reading this and you are going to spend money on something and you are unsure where to put it, your local NPR station, a homeless man on the corner or the defend Oahu coalition, I think you should do the latter and if you don’t want the shirt I am a large and you can send it to me. And if you need my address you can ask and I will send you my address. (Wink)

Fasting

by Daine on Dec.05, 2005, under Church, Food, Tidbits

I am fasting for 3 days and I do not really understand what difference it makes if I do not eat. Why is it called a fast? And why do I suddenly smell every whiff of any thing even remotely related o food. I swear I smelt what I thought at first was dog crap and by the time I had walked past the defecate I had tuned the smell in char grilled hamburgers.

I am trying to work and al I can think of is a pizza.

Praise Lance

by Daine on Jul.13, 2005, under Austin

I went to lunch with a friend from work and saw part of the tour de France. Lance lives here in Austin so every one in this little pizza place was cheering when he would be on the screen. Pretty cool. Yes praise Lance, blessed be his name. It was the first time I have been in a place that every one was watching the tube when it was not a tragedy. It felt like a movie, and I was an extra. The pizza went down the right pipe though! This place also has 4 dollar pitchers of Fat Tire. I could live there.

I like big butts and I cannot lie, you other bruthas cant deny…
