Have you ever wanted something for a really long long time?
Have you ever thought something was cool and then years later had that belief validated not only by your grown up personal set of weights and measures?
I used to subscribe to car magazines constantly as a kid. Seriously I can actually never remember not being into cars. I am still to this day very into cars. And not just one type or one aspect of cars. It is not like Racing is “IT” for me or off-roading or no one aspect. I love it all. There is something cool about every genre of the automotivation. So get to the point car nerd.
I have this little cut out from the back of a car magazine for a Ayrton Senna Nacional Hat.

I have this clipping. I cut one of my bibles for the hat of my favorite race driver. Shortly after this he died of course as a young fan I read all about it. No one asked me to be “fair and balanced” but I read many opinions of him that were negative. I still considered myself a fan but since he was gone I never ordered the hat, and lost interest. Attention span of a gnat, I know. The Oilers left Houston and changed their colors and ehh, I gave up on NFL football.
Something as a kid I didn’t really get was the idea of memorabilia and something being sentimental. That is a disconnect too because my parents were always dragging us through flea markets searching for old stuff that I saw no use for.
Well I do get it now and I repeat I never ordered the hat. But I kept the ad for it in a box with some foreign money my grandfather gave me.
The OCD is strong with this one: I’m going to have to have one.
I know it is trivial but I have wanted this for a really long time. Also it was cool and then and years later my grown up personal set of weights and measures says it is super cool. Ayrton Senna was legendary and yes now as he rests in peace lots of people think this.
He was the very definition of “Club Brown” good looking, cool as it gets and full Latin emotion.
Yeah I’m gonna get this hat.

OK so this year bought my own Christmas.

I have wanted driving mocs for like 6 years. Break down and buy them, I know I know.

SO I made my selection and purchased on line. These to be exact!

Today I get an email “track your package…” don’t mind If I do. It’ll be here tomorrow. Yee haw. “Watch this video …” ok I love these handy suggestions. WHAT IN THE WORLD? I could write a better song or better yet what came first the song or the slideshow. This is embarrassing but funny as all get out. If you have time and only ONLY if you have nothing else to do.  Too bad stranded UK airport people don’t read my blog.

So we have two public radio stations in my city. One is nationally recognized for being so awesome. The other is all classical music. KMFA. Nothing wrong with this station I listen to it sometimes; ok that’s not true I have listened to it enough to know that it is a classical station. One of their supporters was in a classical daze this morning on my way in. He let 14 cars cut him off. I decided to get in on the cutting off action and he wouldn’t let me pass. So mister all the things I yelled at you while listening to my superior public radio station; I meant every word.
