OK this is an old post that I never posted from Christmas or Dec 27^th and my rule is that if it smells bad don’t eat it and if it is too dry don’t try to smoke it and if it is more than a month old don’t post it. So I am sliding this one in.

So we are flying home from California from Christmas and man I ever glad it is over. Jade has done pretty well on the flight. Right now she is holding onto her mommy’s necklace. So cute. I am listening to pinks new song “sober” thanking god I was somehow spared her life. The tag is “how do I feel this good sober?” Instead of living from one high to the next I love this life some of you would think is so gaud awful boring. no high highs but no severe lows either. I suppose right now would be one of the higher points. I am flying over some of the prettiest scenery. And I remembered my headphones and there is a demon child behind us. I am blessed with a good little traveler. Someone just gave their 6 dollar Asian chicken wrap back to the stewardess and said it was bad. She smelt it I’m like “oh no just give his money back.”
I am wondering how fun it would be to do a day in the life if post complete with pics and videos. Maybe if a bunch of us did this at once. Mrs. Vida Sara & Sarah fish Zach maybe even.
Jade is cutting her two first teeth and is a process that sucks. She is miserable. And I know what would make her feel better but I am Sure CPS could take her away and lock me up for administering rum soaked leather coasters as chew toys. Hey and for the record I have a friend who was teethed using this method and she is normal. Well pretty normal. Huh sis?
This coming week is going to be a blast though.  Jade and I hanging out and she is teething I can think of a couple of other alternative ways to spend my week that may be less stressful.
So for those of you about to try traveling with an infant in a car seat and stroller you have to un-strap the kiddo and put all that seat stroller madness through the TSA belt. I pinched the snot out of two of my fingers trying to fold the stroller they are still throbbing I pinched them that hard.

-ok, let me interject into my own here. I think I royally screwed my finger, two weeks later and it is still swollen and sore.-

Oh and the week with jade and I watching her was one of the longest ever and we finally got the mini back and then I took it back and they fixed some other things and we got it back and all has been well for a couple of days now with it.

It is not the easiest car to cart a baby around in but she loves it. It is so rough and bumpy and the road noise is so loud it puts her right to sleep.

It is so easy to post videos and get responses.
But I am not easy-ing out today.
So we are getting ready for the hurricane and the fall out. I am so ready I hope it hits us dead on, by the time it here all well get is some rain.
I would even venture to guess that the whole thing will turn at the last second and we will not see a single droplet of rain from the whole storm system. You laugh but it has happened before.
Yesterday was a full one, Karina and Jade came to my office for a visit and you know how that goes. You start small with one or two people coming by to say hello then before you know it you have to run a file to some one and you take the baby and every one wants to say hello.

So yesterday before they arrived Karina asked a sleeping baby Jade to smile for daddy and on cue she had a gas bubble in her tummy and she gave me a smile.

And the night before that we went to Culvers and she wanted to be on the table so she could see us. In the picture here she is all bundled up and you might be thinking “what your baby is out in the cold and you sat outside?” but I promise it was a nice breezy 97 degrees out and she was plenty warm. No but she wanted to be in the middle of the action she did not want to sit in the car seat on the ground between us.

No up on the table so she could see us I guess. Isn’t it funny how I say she wanted something how do I know any of this I don’t have anything to base it on other than a little whimpering cry on the ground vs. nothing on the table. Thanks for not pointing out my parenting naïveté.

+ so i have posted like 4 things here but through chrome, googles new browser. Wierd thing is nothing is actually posting.

Oh now i am gonna be pissed.

Thanks to gmail chat i can keep in constant contact with my defector friends who have left the bowels of hell for more temperate or oceanic climate-ry. this morning with Phillip:

Ok I have been listening to Stings Sacred love album because I used to love Sting, back when he did like “Ten Summoner’s Tales”, but now it just has all the familiarity of a Steven Curtis Chapman or Michael W. Smith Album. I thing Sting is going Jesus. That is cool but I thing U2 is going Jesus in a cooler way.

Ok I am going to break out the Imperials albums next.

I am ready for .. I don’t know, the end of the day, or at least to be done with work.

I am feeling much better. In fact, this was a good weekend. Things went my way, which is sad huh?

My cold is almost gone.

My Boss is being replaced by my friend Roger (this is a very cool deal)

I went for a 6.5-mile hike with my friend James and had a marvelous time on the greenbelt.

Went cd shopping Saturday with my pal Chris. Found a cd I have been searching for a while.

Wished a happy birthday to my friend Zach on Saturday with a party at this Tapas bar. And that part of it was somewhat stressful. Pretty girls just make me nervous now. This place was packed with them, my wife and her friends included. I do not think it is pretty girls that make me nervous. It is just that Last year at the super bowl I was sitting with my friend, who about 30 days later took his life. I think that happiest I ever saw him was when Janet Jackson’s Boob Jumped out and said “Hey ya’ll”. I missed it because I was looking down concentrating on salsa and chips. Dang it.

I left my cell phone at work when I left early on Friday in a haze of sneezing.

Karina and had pizza and stayed in last night watching our shows. Desperate housewives & Greys Anatomy. Hers is the housewives show and mine the Hospital one. It sometimes makes me cry, then we watched About a boy. Great show, Nice evening to be inside with the one I love.

My friend Scott told me to stop dying my hair. Well he did not tell me that but he told me something I cannot tell any one else and it made me so happy. Directly correlates to the song I have on repeat today.

I want to go to the bar where you can order shots of Dayquil!

I hate the cedar trees and the pollen they produce. I look like a career smoker one of my co-workers told me. “It is your eyes man they look like, I don’t know bad man they look bad.” I feel like poop too. I think tomorrow has sick day written all over it.

Oh and another thing there is a mouse under my desk as I speak. What makes them run around like little frantic grandmothers?

Tonight is the big UT vs’ USC game. I live in UT-ville and I could care less. I think I will go home and watch a movie.
